(Dallas, TX) — Several North Texas school districts are canceling classes today and Tuesday because of damage to their buildings caused by last week’s winter storm.

Fort Worth ISD is canceling all virtual and in-person instruction, but meals-to-go will be available.  Arlington ISD is also closed today and Tuesday.  Remote learning resumes Wednesday, and classroom teaching on Thursday where possible, since more than 20 school buildings in Arlington were damaged.

The following schools are closed for Monday, Feb. 22 and Tuesday, Feb. 23rd:

Alvarado ISD – Closed Monday

Arlington ISD Closed Monday & Tuesday

Boyd ISD – Closed Monday

Castleberry ISD – Closed Monday & Tuesday

Crosstimbers Academy Charter School – Virtual Learning Only

Fort Worth ISD – Closed Monday & Tuesday

Lipan ISD – Closed Monday

Northwest ISD – Closed Monday

Springtown ISD – Virtual Learning Only
