(Weatherford, Tx) – Longtime Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler died Saturday at the age of 82.

A member of the Parker County Sheriff’s Department since 1995, Fowler was elected Sheriff in 2004 and served until his death.  He was born in Weatherford and spent his entire law enforcement career in Parker and Tarrant counties, starting with the Weatherford Police Department in 1965.  Fowler was just elected to another term as Sheriff in Nov 2020.

His cause of death was not released, but he had been ill for some time, undergoing a double lung transplant in 2017.
