AMBER Alert Canceled After Itasca Girl Found Safe

(Itasca, TX) — An AMBER Alert is no longer in effect for a teenage girl from the town of Itasca in Hill County.

Police say 15-year-old Lori Johnson was found safe in Arlington Wednesday afternoon. The girl disappeared last Friday in the company of Joanne Barrientos, an 18-year-old woman police describe as a violence-prone fugitive with an active arrest warrant for robbery.

Arlington Police tweeted that they’d arrested an adult in the case, adding that Johnson would soon be reunited with her family.
