(Dallas, TX) — Many school districts in North Texas are waiting to hear from the Texas Education Agency despite the statewide mask order being lifted.
The agency develops health and safety protocols for the districts in returning safely to in-person learning. The TEA says updated guidance will be coming this week; however, the agency has told school boards that they have full authority to set their own local mask policy.
In the meantime, districts in North Texas will continue their current face mask policies and other COVID safety protocols.
