(Weatherford, Tx) – It appears Weatherford AD and head football coach Billy Mathis will be the next head coach at Brock High School.

According to the Weatherford Democrat, Brock ISD confirmed that the board is expected to make the announcement following a vote at Monday night’s meeting.  WISD hired Mathis in 2017 as head football coach and assistant athletic director.  Prior to that, he’d been the defensive coordinator in Aledo.

Mathis guided the Roos to the playoffs three years in a row and was named AD last summer.  His overall record at Weatherford was 16-27, including 9-16 in district competition.

At Brock, Mathis would replace former Head Football Coach Chad Worrell, who was recently tapped to be the new athletic director and head football coach at El Campo.
