Serial Rape Suspect Wanted In Fort Worth Cold Cases Arrested

(Fort Worth, TX) — Fort Worth police say a man suspected of at least three cold-case aggravated sexual assaults is now in custody.

Investigators used DNA evidence to connect Pedro Samarrippas to two assaults in Fort Worth in 2010 and 2011, as well as a third case in McAllen in 2002. Border Patrol agents picked up Samarrippas on Thursday while he was trying to enter Mexico.

He has been flown back to Fort Worth to face aggravated sexual assault charges.
