(Austin, TX) — Restaurant owners in Texas are cheering the end of the state’s coronavirus mandates.
The Texas Restaurant Association says the decision on whether to mandate masks is now up to owners, however, there is some concern about confrontations with customers who won’t want to wear a mask. The best news for restaurants will likely be the end of occupancy limits. Most are now operating at 75% capacity, but will go to 100% on March 10th.
The lack of customers has forced 11-thousand restaurants across the Lone Star State to permanently close since the pandemic started.
