Gambling Legalization Bills Filed In TX

(Austin, TX) — Two gambling legalization bills are being filed in Texas.

One proposal allows four casinos to be built, including ones in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and North Texas along with Indian casinos. Another bill would legalize sports betting.

Voters have the final say if the Texas Legislature approves the bills because the gambling ban is in the state constitution and it would have to be amended.
