(Fort Worth, TX) — A Fort Worth police officer is no longer on the force after his second arrest for domestic violence.

Corporal Joe Collins had been placed on restricted duty after Burleson police arrested him last month for assault with bodily injury of a family member.  The investigation discovered that Collins had been involved in a second domestic violence incident.  Burleson police arrested him a second time on Wednesday.

Collins resigned, and Fort Worth Police Chief Neil Noakes accepted his resignation.
