No Furloughs For American Airlines Employees

(Fort Worth, TX) — American Airlines is advising its employees they no longer need to worry about being furloughed for now.

The Fort Worth-based carrier gave its employees the news shortly after the passage of the latest one-point-nine-trillion dollar pandemic relief bill. The airline had said furloughs were on the table only if Congress couldn’t agree to more relief for airline workers.

The airline’s 13,000 employees will receive full pay and benefits through September 30th.
