(Indianapolis, IN) — The three-seeded Texas Longhorns headed home after being bounced in the March Madness tournament by Abilene Christian University.
Joe Pleasant, a roughly 60% free-throw shooter on the season, hit two crucial shots from the charity stripe to tie the game up and give the Wildcats the lead with one-point-two seconds left. A full-court heave for Texas went unsuccessful and gave Abilene Christian the 53-52 upset.
The win was ACU’s first NCAA tournament win as a Division One program.
