(Bedford, TX) — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is investigating after a man reportedly set off an explosive in Bedford.
Residents of the town in northeast Tarrant County reported the blast on Wednesday afternoon near a bridge on Forest Ridge Drive and Bedford Road. There were no injuries, but the road was closed until Thursday as engineers inspected it. A bomb squad found a second suspicious device and destroyed it.
Police arrested a suspect at 3 a.m. Thursday at his apartment in Bedford. His name hasn’t been released.
