(Aledo, TX)  —  A group of North Texas ninth grade students is being disciplined for holding an online “auction” of Black classmates.

Aledo ISD says the Daniel student used Snapchat to place fake bids on the classmates and trade them.  Some parents have complained the district didn’t take a strong enough stance saying an email originally called it “cyberbullying” instead of racism.

The district later said they wouldn’t tolerate hatred or racism.  The next school board meeting is Monday.
