(Dallas, TX) — A four-year-old Dallas girl is lucky she swallowed a dime last month.
Charlotte Mason’s mother, Moriah Mason, says it was an odd thing for the well-behaved girl to do. When her family rushed Charlotte to the emergency room, the doctors discovered a cancerous tumor as big as a tangerine near her collarbone. They diagnosed Charlotte with neuroblastoma, and she’s scheduled for a difficult surgery later this month.
But thanks to the dime, doctors say they probably caught the disease in time.
