(Austin, TX) — It looks like almost half of the voters in Texas support the idea of actor Matthew McConaughey becoming the governor.
A new poll from The Dallas Morning News and the University of Texas at Tyler found 45% of registered voters would cast their ballot for the actor. Meanwhile, the poll found only 33% would vote to re-elect governor Greg Abbott, and the other 22% said they would vote for someone else.
McConaughey has yet to announce a career change, but he has talked about the possibility of entering politics numerous times.
