Springtown Teacher Accused Of Improper Relationship With Student

(Springtown, TX) — A teacher in Springtown is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student over several years.

Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier says 43-year-old Misty Cato allegedly abused the victim in Parker and Tarrant counties starting when the student was 15. Cato was a fifth-grade math teacher at Springtown Intermediate School. Investigators say Cato has admitted to having sexual relations with the victim, and they have found a recording where Cato says she had been in love with the victim for four years.

She is currently being held at the Parker County jail with bail set at $100,000.
