(Rhome, Tx.) – Midway Water Utilities has issued a “Boil Water Notice” for customers in The Cliffs water system in Palo Pinto County.

The Boil Water Notice affects customers in the Cliffs Resort at Possum Kingdom Lake.  The utility says the problem is due to a mechanical failure with a sand filter, causing high turbidity to occur in the system.  When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking or human consumption purposes.
