(Granbury, TX) — Mayor Nin Hulett of Granbury now faces a felony charge in last month’s drunken-driving arrest.

Prosecutors upgraded the charge against Hulett on Monday because he has two prior arrests for DWI.  Granbury police arrested him just after midnight on April 25th and booked him into the Hood County Jail.  He posted a $1,000 bond a few hours later.

He was re-booked into the jail on Monday after police confirmed he had two previous DWI arrests.  The first was in Missouri in 1999, and the second was in Fort Worth in 2007.

Hulett’s lawyer says he turned himself in Monday morning and was released a short time later, on a $5,000 bond.  The 68-year-old is serving his second term as Granbury Mayor.
