(Fort Worth, Tx.) – Severe storms ripped through North Texas last night, with winds and rains that over-turned semis, flattened mobile homes, ripped the roof off a church, dropped large hail and spawned at least two tornados.
The roof was torn off a church on West Hwy 377 in Granbury. The Hood County Sheriff’s Office says Crossing Place Church was empty at the time and no one was injured. The Brazos Drive-In Theater in Granbury posted pictures of damage on Facebook.
Several roads flooded in Johnson County and the Emergency Management Office tweeted a picture of hail the size of a baseball in Rio Vista. Reports also say it was likely that a tornado touched down in Grandview last night.
The same supercell storm went from Hill all the way to Ellis County where it overturned 3 semis trucks on I-35E. The NWS has confirmed two touchdowns in Blum and Waxahachie.
