Trial Starts For Fort Worth Man Accused Of Threatening Pelosi

(Wichita Falls, TX) — A trial is underway in Wichita Falls for a Fort Worth man accused of threatening House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Gavin Weslee Perry reportedly posted on Facebook that Pelosi and other Democrats should be shot. Federal officials say he told the FBI that the post was an expression of his First Amendment rights.

Perry could be sentenced to as much as five-years in prison if he’s convicted of the single count of transmitting a threatening communication.
