Granbury Schedules Special Election To Replace Mayor

(Granbury, TX) — A special election for a new mayor of Granbury is set for June 29th.

Granbury City Council met on Monday to accept the resignation of Mayor Nin Hulett and schedule an election for his replacement. Hulett submitted his resignation letter after his arrest last month for DWI, which has been upgraded to a third-degree felony because he has two prior DWI convictions.

Hulett is out on bond. He was elected mayor of Granbury in 2013 and had previously served as a member of the city council.
