Bill Requiring Pro Sports Teams To Play Nat’l Anthem Being Heard In House

(Austin, TX) — Pro sports teams in Texas may soon be required to play the National Anthem before every home game.

Republican Representative Dustin Burrows supports the measure, saying it won’t require anyone to stand up. Burrows says the bill was written after the NBA required the Dallas Mavericks to play the anthem.

The bill needs approval from the House before heading to the Governor’s desk.
