Van Duyne, Other GOP Lawmakers Fined For Not Wearing Masks

(Washington, DC) — Beth Van Duyne of North Texas is one of several Republican lawmakers who are being fined for not wearing masks on the House floor.

Reps. Brian Mast of Florida and Mariannette Miller Meeks of Iowa will also have to shell out $500 each. They’ve ignored warnings about not wearing their masks in the past. Next time they’ll be fined $2500.

Seven other Republicans who shed their masks on Tuesday were given formal warnings and will face fines next time it happens. Van Duyne is the former mayor of Irving.
