(Waco, TX) — The Brazos River Authority is notifying communities downstream from Possum Kingdom Lake about the possibility of rising
water on the river. The authority announced on Monday that a single gate at the lake would be opened at 7 p.m. for a release of 88-hundred cubic feet per second. The rising water may affect communities along the Brazos River in Palo Pinto, Parker, Hood, Somervell, Johnson, Bosque, and Hill Counties.
The BRA says more gates may need to be opened, depending on what the weather does.
