(Austin, TX) — Governor Greg Abbott is shutting down the COVID-19 vaccination passport effort in Texas.
Monday, the Governor signed a new measure which bans businesses from requiring proof of coronavirus vaccination. He tweeted, “Texas is 100% open without restrictions or limitations or requirements.”
The move is a follow up to the Governor’s executive order in April which banned Texas state agencies and state-funded groups from requiring vaccine passports.
