Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley Not Running For Reelection

(Fort Worth, TX) — Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley is not running for re-election next year.

Whitley announced his decision Tuesday saying it’s time for new leadership. The Republican says he’s proud of what’s happened in the county during his 14-year tenure and is glad he could serve. Republican Party of Texas treasurer and former Farmers Branch Mayor Tim O’Hare is running for county judge.

Outgoing Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price is also rumored to be planning a campaign and tells Fort Worth Star-Telegram she’ll make an announcement this week.

Democrats apparently want former mayoral candidate Deborah Peoples to seek judgeship.
