(Fort Worth, TX)  —  Tarrant County elections officials are alerting residents to a suspicious mailer that asks for voter information.

Residents have been receiving mailers telling them they can verify their vote by posting personal information on a website.  The messages started turning up in mailboxes a few days after runoff elections in North Texas.  The county says it didn’t authorize the web site and doesn’t know how people’s information is being used.

The D-A’s office says the site isn’t associated with the Tarrant County Elections Office, and the Republican and Democratic Parties of Tarrant County both say it’s not their doing.
