(Decatur, Tx) – The search goes on for a man accused of shooting a Rhome Police Officer Sunday night.

The Wise County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of 43-year-old Royce Edward Wood.  The officer was attempting a traffic stop on Wood, who was a suspect in a home invasion robbery near New Fairview in Wise County.

Wood fired shots at the officer as he fled on foot.  The unidentified officer was hit in the leg and is expected to be ok.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Wood, is asked to contact the Wise County Sheriff’s Office.
