(Fort Worth, Tx) – Multiple Agencies responded to a wreck Sunday afternoon involving an overturned cattle truck in Southwest Fort Worth.

Around 12:30, Fort Worth Fire crews responded to the scene of the rollover at Loop 820 at Team Ranch Rd.  They found the driver had sustained minor injuries, but the cattle were trapped in the trailer.  The department posted on Facebook that crews quickly began to work with rescue tools and called for a Heavy Rescue team.  Livestock teams were also called in to round up loose cows that had escaped on their own.

After almost 5 hrs they were able to free the surviving animals, unfortunately a large majority of the almost 80 head of cattle sustained fatal injuries.
