(Fort Worth, TX) — A Fort Worth woman is suing over the death of her husband in the massive pileup on I-35.

The plaintiff’s husband was among six people killed in the 130-vehicle crash on the ice-coated freeway the morning of February 11th.  The lawsuit claims the Texas Department of Transportation and other entities responsible for maintaining the road failed to de-ice it properly or close it, and failed to monitor weather conditions.

An investigation by the NTSB found that the freeway had been treated with a brine solution two-days before the crash.
