Rangers Take Leiter With Second Pick In MLB Draft

(Denver, CO) — Vanderbilt pitcher Jack Leiter is on his way to Texas.

The Rangers took Leiter with the second pick in the MLB Draft on Sunday. Leiter is the son of former major league pitcher Al Leiter, a veteran of 19 MLB seasons.

The right-hander was 13-and-four in two seasons with the Commodores with an ERA just over two.
