(Fort Worth, TX) — A couple of businesses in the Fort Worth Stockyards are picking up the pieces after strong winds from a thunderstorm caused damage.
The Fort Worth Fire Department responded just before 5 p.m. Monday to calls that the wind had torn off part of the sheet metal roof of an antique shop’s warehouse on Main Street. Firefighters lifted large pieces of the roof off several cars parked in the street.
The nearby Cowtown Coliseum closed early after a roof leak developed on the second floor.
