(Mansfield, TX) —  A five-year-old is dead after an apparent North Texas drowning.

Mansfield police say Joel Trejo was found unresponsive in a backyard pool Wednesday and later died at a hospital.

An autopsy will confirm the boy’s cause of death.  Further details were not released.
