Mexican Authorities Say Arlington Firefighter's Death Appears Accidental

(Arlington, TX) — The body of veteran firefighter Elijah Snow is back in the Metroplex, but questions remain about his death.

Authorities with the Quintana Roo Mexico Attorney General’s Office say Snow died of mechanical asphyxia due to thoracic-abdominal compression. The Quintana Roo authorities are ruling his death an accident.

It reportedly happened as Snow was trying to climb into a bathroom window at a hotel, 10 miles away from the resort where he and his wife were staying. Snow and his wife were celebrating their tenth anniversary.

Snow’s funeral is set for Tuesday.
