Push To Reverse Ban On Mask Mandates In Schools

(Austin, TX) — Texas lawmakers are petitioning the governor to allow schools to require masks for kids and offer virtual learning options.

The petition signed by 31 Texas House members sites the spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant as the reason for the increased health and safety protocols.

The petition is asking for virtual learning for high-risk or unvaccinated students and is also asking to reverse Governor Greg Abbott’s ban on mask mandates in schools.
