Texas Lawmakers To Testify Before House Committee

(Washington, DC) — Nicole Collier of Fort Worth is one of three Texas lawmakers who will testify about voting rights before a House subcommittee on Thursday.

Enough Texas Democrats have left the state to obstruct a vote on an election integrity bill in Austin. They fled to Washington, DC, to run out the clock on the special session Republican Gov. Greg Abbott called to consider the election bill and other measures.

Abbott said earlier this month he’s undeterred by what Democrats have done, promising to call an unlimited number of special sessions.
