Flights Cancelled By The Hundreds

(Miramar, FL) — Hundreds of airline passengers are going nowhere fast.

Spirit Airlines has already cancelled close to 250 flights for today. They scrapped roughly the same number yesterday and 165 on Sunday. Meanwhile, Fort Worth based American Airlines is facing its own woes. The flight tracking website FlightAware.com shows 277 flights cancelled for today.

The airlines are blaming the cancellations on weather, unspecified mechanical issues and staffing shortages. Travelers are urged to check their emails and status of their flights before it’s time to go to the airport.
