Southlake Carroll Quarterback Skipping Senior Season

(Southlake, TX) — The quarterback for Southlake Carroll will not lead his team his senior season.

Instead, Quinn Ewers is enrolling early at Ohio State. Ewers, the #1 high school prospect in the nation, petitioned the University Interscholastic League that oversees public school sports in Texas to allow him to profit from his likeness but was denied. Because the NCAA is allowing collegiate athletes to make money from their name image and likeness, he can get endorsement deals while playing at Ohio State.

Ewers will finish his coursework to graduate from Carroll before taking part in the Buckeyes training camp.
