(Oxnard, CA) — The timeline for Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott to return from injury is being changed.

Dallas Head Coach Mike McCarthy told reporters the team will be more conservative on the rehab after doing more research.  Prescott strained a muscle in his right shoulder area last week and hasn’t thrown since.  He’s still taking part in other drills but McCarthy doesn’t expect him to throw until at least next week.

Prescott is expected to play in the preseason at some point.  The Cowboys take on the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday night in the Hall of Fame game.
