More North Texas Residents Being Tested For COVID-19

(The Colony, TX) — More people are getting tested for COVID-19 in North Texas.

A lab in The Colony tells NBC DFW that they’re processing five times the number of tests in the past two weeks. This comes as the Delta variant surges throughout the Lonestar state. There were 398 coronavirus patients in the hospital in North Texas on July 4th. A month later, that number is now over 1,900.

Health officials have not yet announced any large-scale testing sites at this time.
