(Fort Worth, TX)  —  An electric vehicle manufacturer backed by Amazon is in talks to build a five-billion-dollar factory near Fort Worth.

The Rivian Automotive factory, known as Project Tera, would be able to turn out 200-thousand vehicles a year.  The facility would create at least 7,500 jobs by 2027 with minimum average annual salaries of $56,000.  The proposed factory site is 12-miles southwest of downtown Fort Worth.

The Walsh Ranch development would add thousands of homes, businesses, schools and parks in the coming decades.
