(Austin, TX) — Heavy rains caused flooding in parts of Austin yesterday, including inside the State Capitol.
Video taken inside the capitol showed water leaking from the ceiling onto several hallways. In a statement, the State Preservation Board said the flooding was caused by a clogged storm drain but looks to be contained to the hallways.
The Board added that crews worked throughout the evening to minimize disruptions to the special legislative session.
