Jury Sees Elderly Suspect’s Taped Confession To 1974 Murder

#Breaking – After two days of testimony, Glen McCurley changed his plea to guilty and has been sentenced to life in prison for the 1974 abduction and murder of Carla Walker, putting an end to the trial.

(Fort Worth, TX) —  Testimony continues this morning in Fort Worth, in the trial of a 77-year-old man accused in the cold-case murder of a teenager in 1974.

Glenn McCurley is charged with capital murder for kidnapping and killing 17-year-old Carla Walker.  On Monday, the jury watched a video recording of McCurley’s confession.

Other testimony came from several DNA experts who worked on the case, which was a cold for more than 40-years until new technology led to a breakthrough.
