Texas Legislature Back In Session

(Austin, TX) — The Texas Legislature is back in session and moving quickly on bail reform.

The House Select Committee on Constitutional Rights and Remedies approved Senate Bill 6 with some amended language Monday, in a party-line vote. It includes letting non-profits post bail for some defendants.

Governor Greg Abbott has called bail reform a priority issue for the special session.
