(Cleburne, Tx) – The City of Cleburne is dealing with a major water line break this morning that forced the closure of three schools.

Cleburne ISD tweeted that classes had been cancelled for Friday, Aug 27th at Cleburne High School, Wheat Middle School and Marti Elementary School.

The district said because of the water main break, the three campuses were left without water.

The city posted on it’s Facebook page:  “City of Cleburne water customers may notice a decrease in water pressure or an interruption of service due to a mechanical issue in the distribution system.   The City’s water crews have identified a leak in the distribution system. Crews are working to fix the issue but we do not yet have an estimated timeline for when the system will be restored to normal operations.”
