Abbott Sends Helicopter, Firefighters To Louisiana

(Austin, TX) — Nearly 150 firefighters from across the state, many from here in North Texas are either in or headed to Louisiana.

Governor Greg Abbott announced the deployment Monday, which also includes a Chinook helicopter and crew along with 30 fire engines.

Abbott says the state is perfectly happy with helping Louisiana because they sent resources to Texas when Hurricane Harvey hit four years ago.
