(Cresson, Tx) – Hood County first responders came to the aid of a confused elderly man that had wandered to North Texas from another state.

Cresson Volunteer Fire Dept posted on Facebook  – Around 3am Tuesday, a Hood County deputy nearly collided with an erratic driver.  After stopping the vehicle, the deputy learned the driver, an older man, had left his home in a neighboring state to go to the store.  The deputy and other members of the Hood County sheriff’s office took care of the confused man, and the Fire Marshall contacted the Cresson VFD to help get him home.  One of the dept. volunteers took off from work and flew the man back to his hometown in another state.

The post said the man was taken to local law enforcement in his hometown.
