(Dallas, TX) — The State Fair of Texas returns today but reportedly not enough workers are returning to Fair Park.

There are still some pandemic precautions in place, but visitors are also likely to notice long lines at the food booths.  Vendors at the fair are being affected by the labor shortage, along with restaurants, retail, and other businesses.  One longtime vendor says he usually hires 130 people, but as of Thursday, he only had 40.

Masks must be worn indoors and in crowded outdoor spaces.  Dallas County is offering free vaccinations near Big Tex.  As an incentive, guests who get the shot will receive $20 worth of coupons for rides and food.
