Texas Gov Abbott: Biden Administration Not Protecting The Border

(Austin, TX) — Texas Governor Greg Abbott says the orders he issued are the only thing stopping illegal immigration in his state.

Speaking on Fox News Sunday, the Texas Republican said the Biden Administration has left Texas with no choice even though immigration is usually handled on the federal level. Abbott said it’s his responsibility to protect Texans since the Biden administration is refusing to do its job to protect American citizens. The Gov said the Haitian migrants wouldn’t have been in the situation they were in if the administration was upholding immigration laws.

Abbott also defended the actions of border patrol agents. He noted they were risking their lives, adding that if any of them lose their jobs, he will hire them to protect the border.
