Investigators Say Boy In Houston Apt Had Been Dead For Months

(Houston, TX) — A woman and her boyfriend are under arrest after deputies found the skeletal remains of a child in a Houston area apartment.

The child’s three brothers, all juveniles, were left to live alone in the unit. It’s believed the boy had been dead for months before a 15-year-old brother called 911. He apparently told Sheriff’s deputies he’d been caring for two other brothers and their mother hadn’t been home for months. Investigators say neighbors would bring the children food.

Deputies arrested 35-year-old Gloria Williams, the mother of the children, on Tuesday on charges of injury to a child by omission and tampering with evidence. Her 31-year-old boyfriend Brian Coulter is charged with the murder of the child whose body was found.

Harris County forensics investigators say the boy was 8 years old when he died of several blunt force injuries.
